It comes with great pleasure that we announce the launch of the Paso Adelante internship program in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. It’s been a long year filled with program design, meetings, negotiations and marketing to get our program underway and we finally went live last week. Maria Ledermann from Germany started her internship program last week. A recent graduate from the Technische Universität Darmstadt, Maria studied environmental engineering and is interested in developing a career in Latin America where she would like to leverage her education to improve rural livelihoods, in particular through more sustainable water and soil management. During her internship Maria will be working with Helvetas to evaluate the impact of rainwater catchment systems in rural areas. We’re really excited to have Maria on board!
